Pre-trip checklist

Before leaving the driveway

  • Reservation, route, and campground gate code
  • Tires, brakes, mirrors, and hitch pins
  • Fresh water, propane, battery charge
  • First-night tote near the door
  • Easy breakfast and coffee packed last

Keep near the hitch

Wheel chocks, leveling blocks, gloves, flashlight, pressure gauge.

Keep in the cab

Registration, park pass, phone charger, weather radio, spare keys.

Trip sequence

Pack in the same order every time.

  1. Documents first. If the reservation email is missing, nothing else matters yet.
  2. Heavy gear next. Chocks, blocks, hoses, cords, tools, and the grill load faster before soft bags pile up.
  3. Kitchen last. A final pantry pass keeps bread, fruit, and cooler packs from being forgotten.
  4. First-night tote on top. Level, connect, and eat without digging through every bin.
